In the past years allergies have been increasingly noticeable in particular in highly industrial areas. According to statistics, one in three people suffer from a kind of allergy. In Germany hay fever is the most common allergy, with 17% of adults who suffer from the symptoms, which appear to grow in strength. Pollen count increases as a consequence of the climate change, then higher concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere stimulates the metabolic process in plants. In addition to this, plants blooming period is also extended, which increases the suffering from allergies.
Fresh air pure
Those concerned often don’t have any other choice, but to hide indoors keeping the windows shut in particular during the day, when the pollen count is at its highest. This however causes increase of CO2 and humidity in the room and can be damaging if continued for a longer period of time.
Special ventilation systems with pollen filters can be of help here: they let the required amount of fresh air inside whilst the filter keeps the dust and pollen outside.
