Burglary statistics
It doesn't just affect other people.
52 % of all payments for damage to property which insurance companies make in the course of the year are down to burglaries. In 2003 alone this happened 430,000 times. For 2004 too the police recorded a slight increase in burglary offences in Germany.
The risks lurk everywhere. It is not only mansions and isolated houses which are affected but often average detached and terraced houses or flats because burglars do not make any distinction.
