Increasing running and associated costs make it clear that increasing the energy efficiency of public and private buildings is more than just sensible. What owners and operators frequently do not know: There is a large number of public funding programmes both for new buildings and also for modernisation projects. At present the federal government is promoting energy renovation measures to the tune of around €1.5 billion a year at the moment and thus the giving worthwhile support for more utilisation of economical saving potentials.
Along with states, communities and districts it is also mainly the KfW (Reconstruction Loan Corporation) which is making financial support available for a wide range of programmes.
